Sony Music Academy — Talent Scouting Project

Sony Music is the world's second-largest record company. Academy is an educational project to attract talents to the company's staff.

Goal

To launch the Academy, the Russian branch turned to us for help. We have taken on the task: to create and launch a landing page for collecting applications in a short time.

It was important to secure data storage, as well as to be able to analyze them. The project was to be published on the Sony Music corporate server, taking into account all the regulations of the corporation.

Solution

The landing page was launched in 3 weeks. For security and data analytics, we integrated the site with the company’s HR service. In addition, the visual concept has been finalized. All works were successfully coordinated between four cities: Moscow, New York, Krasnoyarsk, Tokyo.

Design

The landing page had an image task – to convey creativity as the value of the Academy.

The concept is based on the Lo-Fi style. His keywords are simplicity, relaxation, lack of processing (or such a feeling). So, the design of the cassette was finalized, and the texture of writing paper with torn edges was chosen for the background.

We also added dynamics: we animated elements when scrolling, in some places we used a live video for the background.

Choosing Optimal Technologies

Initially, the site was set up on Tilda. It was the most optimal solution: considering the desired design, functions and timing.

However, when the site was moved to the Sony Music server, there was a need to “move” to WordPress. This was dictated by the guidelines and rules of the corporation — which we all strictly took into account.

Optimization of Collecting Applications

We linked the site to the Greenhouse HR service. It facilitates the work of a recruiter, safely stores and allows you to analyze data.

They also set up a stop for collecting applications. In order not to lose the “leads”, on the right day, the form was replaced by an offer to contact outside the Academy.

Stylized Email Layouts

We created stylized letters with the results of whether the participant passed for an internship. They were sent out at the end of the consideration of applications.

Academy's Outcomes

The project was successfully completed. More than 1800 applications were collected, of which 21 participants were selected.
